Learning is a Frequency

The Frequency of Mastery

I’ve been reflecting on learning for a while now. Over time, I’ve noticed that I feel confident about stepping into new fields with ease. This isn’t the case for everyone—often, people struggle to adapt to new environments or domains. They don’t understand the rules, and that lack of clarity can make the learning process feel daunting.

For example, I recently took on the challenge of learning to be a good server at a restaurant. There were a few noteworthy tips I picked up along the way. One of the most important was knowing your menu. If you understand the menu, you can sell dishes easily. Another was learning to sell through storytelling—people love being taken on a journey, especially when there’s a story behind what they’re eating. These concepts resonated with me because I was already familiar with storytelling and using knowledge to sell ideas.

But one thing caught me off guard: wine.

The Challenge of Learning Something New

I never cared much for wine. I didn’t understand its importance, its culture, or the passion people seemed to have for it. My general attitude about food had always been practical: food is fuel. As long as it’s healthy, it serves its purpose. There’s no need to glorify it.

However, I realized that if I wanted to stand out as a server, I needed to learn about wine. So, I purchased Windows on the World by Kevin Zraly. This book didn’t just teach me about wine—it completely changed my perspective. Zraly wrote about wine with such passion, layering stories and history into its complexities. His writing wasn’t pretentious; he spoke from a place of love, curiosity, and authenticity.

Reading this, I understood something profound: wine wasn’t just a beverage for him—it was a way of connecting with his true self. This wasn’t elitism; it was pure, unfiltered passion. And that’s what I had been searching for—not status, but authenticity.

The Frequency of Learning

As I immersed myself in Zraly’s perspective, I realized that if I could adopt his lens, I could learn wine without issue. Learning isn’t about forcing facts into your mind; it’s about tuning into a frequency of curiosity and creation.

I’ve noticed this pattern across multiple fields. Whether it’s learning math, psychology, or spirituality, the process always begins the same way: a spark of curiosity. That curiosity evolves into an insatiable hunger for understanding, and the learning journey becomes a process of self-discovery.

Every new field adds another layer of sophistication to your reality. It changes how you think, how you see the world, and ultimately, how you live.

Learning by Observing Vibration

One key realization I’ve had is this: when learning from others, I don’t just focus on what they say. I pay attention to how they say it—their energy, their passion, and the vibration they exude. This perspective helps me align with their frequency, making the learning process much smoother.

For instance, Zraly’s passion for wine mirrored my own passion for spirituality and psychology. That resonance made it easier for me to connect the dots. Similarly, when I learned math, I saw it as a puzzle waiting to be solved, much like the way I approach problem-solving in other areas of life.

Learning is a frequency. Mastery is a frequency. Entering that frequency transforms you and makes the journey effortless.

Application

So, how can you apply this idea of learning as a frequency in your own life? Here are two approaches:

  1. Seek the Frequency of Mastery in New Domains
When stepping into a new field, look for what resonates with you. Find connections between what you already know and what you’re trying to learn. How do your existing skills relate to this new domain? By identifying common threads, you’ll start to feel more at home.
  2. Observe the Vibration of Experts
When learning from others, don’t just listen to their words—pay attention to their energy. Why are they so passionate about their field? What drives their love for it? Once you understand their vibration, you can align with it and make it your own.

The Journey Forward

This realization has been transformative for me. If learning and mastery are just frequencies, then the possibilities are endless. I can step into any field, adopt the right vibration, and grow with ease. The key is to focus on fields that align with my true self and where I feel I can make the greatest impact.

So, I leave you with this question: What skill have you been wanting to learn but have been too afraid to try? Remember, mastery is a state of being—it’s about tuning into the right frequency. Once you do that, the journey will not only be easier but infinitely more rewarding.
