Responsibility isn’t about weight—it’s about your ability to respond.
Response-ability.
The power to meet life as it comes. That’s the perspective shift.
Now, when it comes to embodying masculinity—especially assertiveness—there’s a window.
A window of time where something arises, and it’s up to you:
Will you meet it, or will you miss it?
To even recognize that window, you have to be present.
Tuned into your body.
Connected to your emotions.
Aware of the moment.
Because if you’re not present, you can’t respond.
And if you can’t respond, you can’t take responsibility.
So when we talk about responsibility, we’re really asking:
Can you step up when life calls you?
Can you speak when your truth wants to come through?
Can you move when it’s time to act?
Or do you stay confined—tuned out, frozen, letting life happen to you?
Both are responses. Even no response is a response.
And every response carries a consequence.
So this is part of the work.
To become aware.
To become present.
To become someone who can meet life consciously—because that’s what responsibility is.
